"Learning from the best pound for pound @canelo," wrote former world champion Oscar Valdez, who recently took to social media to post video of himself getting in some rounds of sparring with multi-division world champion Canelo Alvarez. You don't want to miss what went down. Check it out!

  • Thats dope but canelo should be putting pressure on Valdez not necessarily throwing bombs but leaning on him and and using his weight to help him get ready for berchelt who is naturally pretty bigger than valdez

    David LopezDavid Lopez12 ngày trước
  • This is generous from Canelo and good for Oscar Valdez, but at the same the guy he is fighting (Alacran Berchelt) does not fight like that at all. Berchelt likes to move forward and throw long punch combinations (He is a Chingadazos machine, heavy handed). He pushes a tremendous pace and fights well under pressure. Both are very skilled but I think Berchelt has more left in the tank at this stage, Valdez has been in many wars and taken some damage. If anything it should be him against the ropes getting punched by Canelo working on his defense. Can't fault Oscar for putting in work and Canelo for helping him. Respect.

    • @thabz official Please think before you speak my man. I'm not here to insult you. I'm not here to troll you . I'm being straightforward with you. Just think before you speak please. How how is Canelo the best fighter in the world when he's too small to challenge a heavyweight? If you can't beat a heavyweight champion in a fist fight, because you're too small, then you are not the best boxer on the planet. This is not a negotiable topic. We are not negotiating the price of tile on the bathroom floor. We're talking about something that is quite apparent.

      thabz officialthabz official12 ngày trước
    • @thabz official Whoop-de-do. It doesn't matter anyway. The top dawgs in the game are Wilder, Joshua and fury. You're only focusing on guys like Canelo and Mayweather, because the bought media has pointed you in that direction. Ask yourself this, if that Mayweather style is so Superior, and worthy of copying, then why aren't the big guys using that style? Just think about that for a second . I bet you can't name not one large athlete, that has had success trying to fight like Mayweather. That style only works for little guys. It doesn't work for the big boys, and it doesn't work on the big boys neither.

Native American CowboyNative American Cowboy12 ngày trước
    • Native American Cowboy he got hurt against cotto even bleeding, it’s boxing you’ll get hit, but we know after that Mayweather fight Canelo got schooled hard and he wasn’t doing that before Mayweather fight clearly he learnt something from that loss, even Mayweather said” I’ve seen Canelo a couple of times in the gym, stealing my moves😅, “VIworld it

      thabz officialthabz official12 ngày trước
    • @thabz official mmmm... I'm pretty sure they both did. Are you seriously suggesting that Pernell Whitaker didn't Master his own style? 🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄 The whole idea behind slick movements is to get hit less. That's exactly what Pernell Whitaker was doing. There's no such thing as a fighter that don't get hit at all. Surely you're not suggesting that Mayweather doesn't get hit at all?

    • @Daniel Moore So can Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos is worth $200 Billions dollars. He could employ Canelo Alvarez to wipe his butt if he wanted to. What's your point? like I said, Mexican fighters are afraid of the heavyweight division. They want to claim to be the best, but they're afraid to take on the heavyweights. The last one to do it was Andy Ruiz, and he dropped the ball on his first defense.

      AvantoneAvantone13 ngày trước
    • @Avantone Well... We both have a fair argument in the Wilder/Fury fight. You claim that he lost because Fury schooled him, but my claim is that Fury was just too large for him. You do realize that Fury was taller, had a longer reach, and was 45 lbs heavier than Deontay Wilder correct? But you seem to just overlook that fact as if it's not a big deal. Well it is a big deal... You can't show me anyone that Canelo has beaten, that had such a size advantage over him. I can't prove you wrong, but you can't prove me wrong either.

Native American CowboyNative American Cowboy13 ngày trước
    • @Native American Cowboy looool dude I hope you're trolling.. or you're just very delusional. That's because those are the rules of the heavyweight division man. everything above a certain weight is allowed. Do you want to see a flyweight fight against a heavyweight? what's next, lomachenko against fury? Apart from Wilder being a terrific power-puncher, his technique is horrible. His footwork is decent but nothing special. He didn't fight any decent opponents apart from an over his top Luis Ortiz (in which he almost lost the 2nd fight). Fury clearly schooled him. If you would've ever boxed yourself you would've known what difference in weight feels like when receiving a punch.

      AvantoneAvantone13 ngày trước
    • @Avantone Tyson Fury was like 45 pounds heavier than Deontay Wilder during their fight. That didn't stop Wilder from, at least, trying to beat the man. Who has Canelo ever faced that was 45 pounds heavier than him on fight night 🤷🏾‍♂️? You're making excuses, and hiding your little hero is what you're doing.

Native American CowboyNative American Cowboy12 ngày trước
    • @Marco Cortes Pay close attention to the word that you just used. You just said "ALMOST" There's no such thing as an almost knockout. Nowhere in boxing scoring is there an almost knockout section on the scorecard. It's called a knockdown. It was a long count knocked down, yes. but it was still just a knockdown. And Anybody can knock anybody down in boxing, but a knockout is a whole different story.

Native American CowboyNative American Cowboy12 ngày trước
    • @Native American Cowboyso you're saying that wilder almost knocked Tyson out in the first fight because he was 17 pounds lighter? and apparently with 8 more kilos he becomes invincible? I think you are ignoring a lot of components and blaming it all on weight. which I have to say, if you believe that, I don't think you know boxing very well...

      Marco CortesMarco Cortes12 ngày trước
    • @Marco Cortes No. You didn't go into details and explain why. People keep saying that Wilder lost because he can't box. Completely ignoring how much larger Fury was than Wilder. Vladimir Klitschko could box just fine, but still couldn't get around the size of Fury.

    • Folk1 good effort, what it really is is that you can’t name anybody so you need to make excuses and beat around the bush. Speaks louder than anything. Seen it a hundred times too, you thought you were slick but you’re not lol you’re right though. he doesn’t want a real challenge, that’s why he fought arguably the greatest fighter of all time at 23 years old 😂 you and your “perspective” are laughable lmao

      wutangwutang12 ngày trước
    • wutang I do remember, I’m the one said it. I could name someone, what difference would it make? You’re still gonna DEBATE it lol your perspective is your perspective. My point was HE DOESN’T WANT A REAL CHALLENGE, see his next opponent for his upcoming fight? My point proven.

      Folk1Folk112 ngày trước
    • Folk1 yeah ok lmao “no need to name anyone else, they’re bums” remember? You can stand on whatever you want, but the fact that you evade my question, that you can’t even name one fighter other than pacquiao with a better resume than canelo says it all.

      wutangwutang12 ngày trước
    • wutang at the end of the day, we’re all entitled to our own opinions. Agree or disagree, I stand on it.

      Folk1Folk112 ngày trước
    • wutang I actually didn’t mention Danny because he didn’t fight at his full potential and he never does when he’s facing real competition.

  • Damn would love to see Canelo in there with Andy Ruiz 👀 or even Valdez vs Garcia sparring. Reynoso gotta nice team

  • Dude fight so much like a black American fighter. Don’t worry y’all, he got his style from us. I respect him so much though. Highly skilled. Definitely P4P king 👑 Nobody in the game right now besides the legends, (Floyd PAC) has a resume like Canelo. Much respect ✊🏾....keep helping the youngsters as well 👍🏾

    • @Oscar Vasquez yup, agreed!! Nothing wrong with it. I love the Mexican style of fighting. True warriors style 💪🏾just gotta mix it up and know how to box too to take less punishment. Let’s NOT make a race war out of this. I know I mentioned “black” style of fighting but it is what it is 🤷🏾‍♂️My favorite fighter is Miguel Cotto and I’m black 👍🏾Peace and GOD BLESS ✌🏾

    • @Oscar Vasquez Mexican fighters are afraid of the heavyweight division. You guys only got one man challenging heavyweights... Andy Ruiz. Y'all can't keep claiming to be the best without competing for the heavyweight titles.

    • Native American Cowboy ok sir! I see you don’t understand the fundamentals of the sport. I’m gonna make my exit now ✌🏾

    • @L McMill hello... FURY IS 6'9 AND DAMN NEAR 300 LBS. Fury is a present day giant. I don't believe Canelo is even 5'10. He may be even shorter than that.

    • Native American Cowboy no, he stayed away from canelo remember? He stayed away from canelo but somehow landed over 200 punches lmao you sound dumb trying to get a moral victory off of the fact that floyd didn’t hurt him. You clearly don’t understand boxing

      wutangwutang12 ngày trước
    • @James West And I hope you understand, that in real life, there's no such thing as points in a fight . Points is something that you look for in ball games, like basketball and tennis. There ain't no points in a fight. Either you made your man quit, or you didn't.

Native American CowboyNative American Cowboy13 ngày trước
    • @wutang I said he didn't put a dent in anything. Meaning he didn't do any noteworthy damage. No blood. No broken bones. No knockdown. Landing 200 punches don't mean much if they don't hurt.

    • Native American Cowboy yeah, he stayed away from canelo. Must be how he landed over 200 punches lmao stayed away, you clearly don’t know shit about fighting

  • He did that for 12 rounds vs Golovkin and somehow got a draw!? 🤔

    Frank JaegerFrank Jaeger14 ngày trước
    • @F Z I'm saying he was just defensive on the ropes, Golovkin clearly won that fight.

      Frank JaegerFrank Jaeger6 ngày trước
    • He didnt do any of that in the first fight with golovkin and lost! But they still called it as a draw.
